Durham Cathedral treasures

Excitement is building with only days until the launch of The Treasures of St Cuthbert permanent exhibition within Open Treasure at Durham Cathedral.


The Treasures include St Cuthbert’s preserved Anglo-Saxon wooden coffin, his gold and garnet pectoral cross, ivory comb, portable altar, and 10th-century embroidered vestments gifted to St Cuthbert’s Shrine. The Treasures go on display in the Great Kitchen from 29 July.
