Drop in sessions at Bishop Auckland

Members of the Bishop Auckland community are being invited to pose their questions about the ongoing revitalisation of the town directly to the team at Auckland Castle Trust.

The charity, which is investing £70m into transforming Auckland Castle into an arts, faith and heritage destination of international significance, will be hosting four Community Drop In sessions at the Town Hall between Friday 24 and Tuesday 27 March 2017.

There, visitors will be able to call in at their convenience to find out more about the Trust, its Future Plans and the wider impact for the town.

This includes information about the construction work currently underway in partnership with local contractors, the opportunities for employment and skills development and the wide range of ways available to engage with local heritage.

Members of Auckland Castle Trust’s growing staff base will also be on hand to answer any additional questions and chat directly with everyone who attends.

Please call in and see us at the Town Hall during the following times:

  • Noon – 5pm Friday 24 March
  • 10am-12.30pm Saturday 25 March
  • 2pm – 6pm Monday March 26
  • 10am – 3pm Tuesday 28 March

Anyone who is unable to attend but would still like to raise a query with Auckland Castle Trust is being asked to email, where they will receive a timely response.
