BRIT award, Ivor Novello and Mercury Music Prize nominated artists very familiar with playing to large national and international audiences, are being attracted to perform in the intimate setting of The Bowes Museum this year. The concert series kicks off with a solo concert by Nerina Pallot on 21 and 22 March 2025. Tickets go on sale on 23 January 2025.

Nerina, a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter known for her heartfelt lyrics and soul-stirring melodies, comes to Bowes Museum after a sell-out show at the London Palladium and UK Tour. Those fortunate to secure a concert ticket can expect to be one, in an intimate audience of just 80 people. The historic setting of the Jubilee room where the concert will be held, promises to be a very special evening.

About performing at the museum, Nerina said:

“As an artist, there’s something really special about performing in a setting that enhances the experience for both me and my audiences. And I just know The Bowes Museum is going to provide one of those really memorable occasions. A concert in the historic heart of this place, surrounded by such creativity and intimacy, is a treat for me and not something I get to do regularly.”

The income generated from the concert, will directly contribute to the museum's ongoing need for funds to maintain, care for and develop the museum building, collection and parkland. Tickets from £35.00.

Artist bio:

Nerina was discovered while working as a publishing assistant at Mute Records, signed to Polydor Records and released her first album in 2001. The release of her critically acclaimed second album Fires in 2006 drew comparisons with Joni Mitchell, Fiona Apple and Tori Amos, and spawned hit singles Everybody’s Gone To War and Sophia, plus Brit Award and Ivor Novello nominations.

Now two decades into her career, Pallot’s rich and varied back catalogue suggests an artist determined on carving her own path, and as a live performer she has built a reputation as a peerless musician who is as compelling solo as she is with a full band.
