Hotel makes treats a priority for its club members
A top North East hotel has unveiled the latest tranche of treats for those signed up to its Priority Club.
600-year-old Lumley Castle Hotel, at Chester-le-Street, launched the free-to-join membership scheme – which gives access to special offers and early bird event invitations - earlier this year.
Those who sign up to the Castle Priority Club are sent a monthly newsletter detailing the hotel’s latest news and promotions.
They can also choose one of 10 vouchers for treats, such as complimentary afternoon tea or a glass of Champagne.
And now the multi-award-winning four-star hotel has announced a new range of perks, which are valid until November.
These include the option of a free upgrade on a stay in one of the hotel’s 73 lavishly furnished and decorated bedrooms, an early check-in or a late check-out.
There is also a 25 per cent discount on the cost of a second consecutive night’s stay, a free glass of wine with dinner, or Prosecco and chocolates in the room on arrival.
And, for corporate client or families looking to plan a celebration, there is also a voucher offering complimentary room hire for functions for up to 14 people.
The scheme is the brainchild of Lumley Castle’s general manager Gordon Cartwright, who said its aim is to reward guests who make their booking directly with the hotel and not through third party booking sites.
“In comparison with many other hotels we have a very high percentage of return visitors,” said Gordon, a former hotel inspector for the AA.
“And our customer satisfaction figures are consistently high, so this is our way of thanking our loyal guests and ensuring that every visit is a little extra special for them.”
