Showcasing Durham at the Great Yorkshire Show
Visit County Durham and its partners are promoting the county as the ultimate destination for days out and staycations at the 164th Great Yorkshire Show this week.
The event, which takes place from tomorrow (Tuesday) to Friday 14 July, is expected to attract 140,000 people, making it the ideal opportunity to showcase Durham’s amazing tourism offer to thousands of potential visitors.
Visit County Durham will be joined on the This is Durham stand by a number of partners: The Auckland Project, Beamish, The Living Museum of the North, The Bowes Museum, Raby Estates, Hotel Indigo, Kynren, Lumley Castle and Seaham Hall Hotel.
Michelle Gorman, managing director of Visit County Durham, said: “The Great Yorkshire Show is a fantastic day out for all the family, attracting people from across the north of England and beyond. It’s a great opportunity to promote Durham’s stunning scenery, award-winning attractions and exciting events to tens of thousands of countryside lovers.
